Paul is explaining the heart of the gospel to the church in Corinth - that God is reconciling people to Himself through Jesus. He’s showing the great exchange at the centre of our faith: the sinless One steps into our place so we can step into His. It’s not about earning righteousness but receiving it. Paul wants them to see that this is God’s initiative, God’s rescue, and God’s invitation into a restored relationship.
