Paul is being honest with Timothy: following Jesus doesn’t mean an easy path. When you choose a godly life, you will face pushback - not because you’re doing something wrong, but because light always meets resistance in dark places. Paul’s point isn’t to scare us, but to steady us. Difficulty doesn’t mean God has left; it often means you’re walking exactly where He’s called you.
