What God Put on My Heart - and Why I’m Acting on It

Welcome to my store’s blog. I wanted to share the story behind why this shop exists…

I’m still very new in my faith, and that’s a big part of why this store exists. I wasn’t raised in church and didn’t grow up knowing Jesus. In February 2025, out of nowhere a friend texted me and asked if I wanted to go to church with her. I went that day, and as soon as I was in the church I felt something in me change, and I knew I needed to keep coming back. Just over a month later, I surrendered my life to Jesus. In May I began serving at a street‑church outreach, linked to the church I attend. It is a simple, down‑to‑earth gathering where we bring church to people who might never feel comfortable in a traditional setting. We share food, conversation, prayer, and the love of Jesus with anyone who needs it. Being part of that ministry changed me. It stirred a desire to do something practical to help support the work. I felt a need to try to raise money to help the amazing work that is being done. Last year the money raised helped purchase 40 rucksacks, that were to be filled with daily essentials such as socks, gloves, thermals, hats, healthcare items and more. This year I would like to be able to do the same, and that is why I thought I should open a store, to reach a wider customer base. I just want to report that my whirlwind journey in Christ continued with me being baptised in July 2025, and I am still serving at the street-church ministry. This little store is just one small way I’m trying to give back and to do what God wants us to do, to love others as much as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39).
